Created simply reflects issues created, e.g. project = abc will show all issues created for the ABC project. Resolved is defined by setting the Resolution field, e.g. project = abc and resolution is not empty will yield all issues in project ABC that has been closed w/ a Resolution set. Hi Jack, thanks for your response. 1 answer. The resolution field needs to be set for (the main part of) JIRA to see the issue as "resolved", and hence not appear in things like the "my open issues". Take a look at your workflow, and look at the two sets of transitions: For any transition that is from a status you think of as "closed" back to one you think of as "open", make In order to get an overview over these numbers, reports like our Report Builder report “Created vs. Resolved” collect important information. By selecting the respective user, team or project as JQL Scope and by picking the needed dates, the graphs show the relation between created and resolved Jira tickets over a given period of time. Time in Status for Jira Cloud generates a report of how long issues have been staying in a specific status. Concerning your issue - you get the Cycle and Lead Time data by grouping time in statuses. Go to the Status Groups and here you can add New Group or manage existing ones (edit or delete). Also, you can try Time between Statuses, which gGzvQg. In the existing workflow, add new transition (using diagram mode) by option Re-use transition available. Select from status and to should be "Closed". This will have same conditions, postfunctions, validators from existing trnasition. 2. Jira treats issues that has the resolution field as "resolved". You can have different reasons for how the issue is resolved and that is what the Resolution field is used for. If you want to be able to move any issues to the Closed status with the Resolution as Cancelled you are on the right track. Answer accepted. note you could simply use the Created vs. Resolved gadget on a dashboard for this. With that said try this JQL createdDate >= startOfDay () and resolutiondate <= endOfDay () save the filter as something like "same day closures" then use that filter in a gadget on a dashboard. Thank you very much.
